Tantawi : Egyptian-Syrian Islamic scholar, judge, teacher, orator, and literary figure. Shaykh al-Tantawi authored many books on a wide variety of subjects. His literary style was simple but powerful, with imagery that brings places and characters to life. He was instrumental in formulating family law and drafting Islamic laws in the 20th Century.
Buti: Syrian scholar. Known for his numerous works of writing and brilliant speeches, his works tackle contemporary issues of Muslims.
Zuhayli: A Syrian professor and foremost Islamic scholar specializing in Islamic law and legal philosophy. His works focus on Islamic and secular law, and many have been translated into English. His brother Muhammad was a student of his and is also an expert in Islamic law.
