اعتمد المؤلف في هذا الكتاب طريقة جديدة في حوار المسلم مع الآخرين، لم يستعن فيها بشيء من المنطق الديني، في إبطال مفاهيم لا يقر أصحابها بالدين. وذلك من أجل غايتين:
الأولى: تمزيق غاشية الانبهار بعناوين؛ كثيراً ما تأثرت بها نفوس ضعيفة، واختبأ تحت قباب تهاويلها مبطلون مخادعون.
الثانية: إنهاء عهد الجدل الخطابي المتشنج؛ الذي طالما استبدل بالحوار العلمي الهادئ صراعاً عدائياً هائجاً، فلم تتحقق منه حصيلة خير لأيٍّ من الطرفين.
واستطاع المؤلف بالحوار العلمي الموضوعي الهادئ؛ أن ينقض كل أوهام النظرية الجدلية الديالكتيكية، ويرفع صرح الإيمان.
