This Book is an academic and theological work that describes the harmony between modern cosmological science and verses from the Qur'an. The core of the book can be summarized in three main themes: 1. The Origin of the Universe (The Big Bang) The authors compare the Big Bang theory with specific verses from the Qur'an. Frequent reference is made to Sura Al-Anbiya (21:30), which states that the heavens and the earth were originally joined together as a single entity, after which God separated them. According to the book, this describes the scientific singularity exactly. 2. The expansion of the cosmos The book discusses the discovery that the universe is continuously expanding. Al-Khader links this to Sura Ad-Dhariyat (51:47): “And the heaven We have built with strength, and indeed, We are the Expanders (of it).” The author agreed that this astronomical reality was already recorded in the text 1,400 years ago. 3. The End of the Universe (The Big Crunch) The central conclusion of the book focuses on the “Big Crunch,” the scientific theory in which the universe will eventually collapse again due to gravity. He links this to Islamic eschatology (the Day of Judgment), specifically Sura Al-Anbiya (21:104), in which God will roll up the heavens as a scribe rolls up his scrolls.
