Originally developed as a doctoral thesis, this work fills a noticeable gap in contemporary Islamic studies. While immense research has been dedicated to Ibn Ashur’s monumental contributions to Qur'anic exegesis (Al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir) and Islamic legal philosophy (Maqasid al-Shari'ah), very few have isolated and deeply thoroughly examined his framework for governance, statehood, and political sociology.
