As the question of faith belongs to the realm of the ultimate unprovable in a philosophical or mathematical sense, it is indeed a matter of trust by which one accepts whatever he believes. Certainly one owes it to himself to ponder issues such as why he should hold any beliefs regarding ultimate truths, and what he can believe in confidence. An attempt is made in this booklet to put together the various steps in a mental process, forming a network of rationally acceptable associations, which may allow one to reassess the validity of religious presuppositions, reorienting himself so as to see religion as a comprehensive and appropriate orientation to life. The Islamic viewpoint presented here may be of interest to a person of faith other than Islam, enabling him to look at the matter of faith from another, alternative and perhaps insightful angle.
