On the path of Allah Ta'ala there are thieves who are constantly pursuing us, trying to rob us of our goods and leave us empty-handed. These goods are none other than our deeds and righteous actions, and the thieves are shaytan, our lower desires (nafs) and the temptations of sin.

So how do we protect ourselves on this path? We learn from the most experienced travelers: the people of Allah. The people of Allah are the elite of His creation. Their hearts are filled with Allah's love and awe, their lives are dedicated to his sincere service, their actions radiate complete submission and servitude, and their words are a source of guiding light for the entire world.

Veils of Darkness & Rays of Light is a collection of thoughts and words of wisdom uttered by the people of Allah that can help us overcome the obstacles of temptation and sin.
