Early Arabic poetry of Al-Nabigha al-Shaybani. Abdullah bin Al-Mukhariq bin Salim bin Hadhira bin Qais, from Bani Shaiban. (d. 125/743). A Bedouin poet from the first class poets who lived in the desert. He used to come to the Levant to praise the caliphs, from the Umayyads, and they would lavish him with gifts. He praised Abdul Malik bin Marwan and his descendants after him. He has many eulogies for Al-Walid. He died during the reign of Al-Walid bin Yazid.
