Four volume finely bound edition of «Al Kitab» of Sibawayh (d. 180/796 or 797) a foundational linguistics book of Arabic by the influential linguist and grammarian of the Arabic language. The first to write on Arabic grammar, he had a great influence on subsequent Arabic language scholars. Full name was Abu Bishr ʿAmr ibn ʿUthman ibn Qanbar al-Bisri.
