Translated to Arabic «Cacau» (Cocoa), a 1933 novel by Brazilian novelist Jorge Amado (1912-2001). The novel recounts the wretched daily life of the workers on the farm of Colonel Mané Frajelo, the king of cocoa, and how the despotism of the bosses ends up awakening solidarity in the workers and the yearning in its protagonist for a more fair and better life. Translated to the Arabic by Mari Tawq.
