In a large well-bound volume, a jurisprudential interpretation of the Qur'an. The author, Abu Bakr Ahmad bin Ali al-Razi al-Jassas (305/917- ca. 370/981), was the Imam of the Hanafis of his time. He singled out the verses of rulings in the Noble Qur’an, and extracted from them the benefit of jurisprudential rulings based on other verses, the hadiths of the Prophet and the reasons for revelation, in addition to the opinions of the jurists and the owners of the schools of thought.
