Omar Khayyam (1048-1131) was born at Naishapur in Khorasan in 1048 CE, during the Seljuq dynasty, and died within the First Quarter of our Twelfth Century. The volume includes text from his Wasiyat (Testament) and his Rubaiyat (quatrains, verse). Translation and foreword by Edward FitzGerald, first published in 1859.
