Two of Nawal Saadawi's stories translated to English; 'God Resigns At The Summit Meeting' and 'Isis', both of these stories incorporate key themes to Saadawi's work: that all societies are inimical to women and the poor, that the oppression of women is reprehensible and not uniquely of the Middle East of the 'third world'.
