The final book in M.I. Quandour's series about the Circassians, a moving and enchanting read, loaded with atmosphere, combining autobiographical notes with historical events of the 20th century. A powerful and honest portrayal of a people who suffered as much due to their own cultural idiosyncracies as at the hands of their enemies and detractors.
