«Poets killed by their poetry», by Adil Anwar Khidr. The book tells stories about poets who were punished for poems they said and verses they composed. Some of them died, and some of them were pardoned and escaped retribution. Among these poets are Tarfa bin Al-Abd, Al-Minkhal Al-Yashkari, Hadba bin Al-Khasram, Asha Hamdan, Al-Mutanabbi, Ka’b bin Zuhair, Labid bin Rabi’ah, and many other poets...

These poets were arranged according to the years of their death, not according to the occurrence of their stories, and each story was presented with a translation by the poet in a beautiful and entertaining narrative form.
