Qafazat Mukhmiliah Qadhrah: Farinaقفازات مخملية قذرة

Translated to Arabic, «Fariña» by Spanish author Nacho Carretero, first puclished in 2015. Through direct testimonies from drug lords, glide pilots, repentants, judges, police officers, journalists, and mothers of drug addicts, Nacho Carretero painstakingly portrays a criminal landscape that is often underestimated. In the popular imagination, that kitsch customs of bosses with clogs and gold watches has obscured the destructive potential of a phenomenon that devastated the social, economic and political fabric of Galicia.

Fariña also includes an unprecedented review of the clans that continue to operate today. Because contrary to media and popular belief —as this book demonstrates— drug trafficking is still alive in Galicia.
