Translated to Arabic, 'Tropic of Capricorn', a semi-autobiographical novel (first published in Paris, 1939) by American writer Henry Miller (1891-1980). The novel is based on Miller's early life in New York during the 1920s, with recollections of adolescence in Brooklyn. It defines his view of the character of the US. It was banned in the US until 1961 because of its sexual content.
