Early Arabic Poetry of Amr ibn Qami'ah (448-540 AD). The author was a pre-Islamic poet, and one of the poets of Qays bin Tha’laba. The diwan consists of an introduction, then the poetical works numbered with the verses and mentioned with the measures. A few verses from «Muntaha al-Talab» are added to this book. Edited and explained by Khalil Ibrahim al-Atiyah. Footnotes have two first the interpretations, and then explanations and the differences of manuscripts. Indexed.

عني بتحقيقه وشرحه خليل إبراهيم العطية
عمرو بن قميئة بن ذريح بن سعد بن مالك الثعلبي البكري الوائلي النزاري. شاعر جاهلي مقدم. نشأ يتيماً، وأقام في الحيرة مدة، وصحب حجراً (أبا امرئ القيس الشاعر) وخرج معه امرئ القيس في توجهه إلى قيصر، فمات في الطريق، فكان يقال له (الضائع) وكان واسع الخيال في شعره. وفيه يقول امرؤ القيس: بكى صاحبي لما رأى الدرب دونه.
