Translated to Arabic, «C'est égal» by Hungarian writer Ágota Kristóf (1935-2011). Kristof, who resided in Switzerland and wrote in French, was awarded many literary prizes. This work, first published in 2005, is a collection of very short and ominous stories about down-trodden people, paralyzed emotions, loneliness yearning for encounters, cruelty of children mirroring that of adults, claustrophobic and sadistic family tortures...Translated to Arabic by Muhammad Ayt Hanna,
