Kim Ho-yeon’s novel, *Inconvenient Convenience Store*, tells the story of a small grocery shop nestled in a neighborhood in Seoul, South Korea. The shop is owned by Mrs. Yum—a kind-hearted elderly woman who one day encounters a homeless man when he returns the wallet she had lost at a train station. Impressed by his honesty, she offers him a job working the night shift at her store. As time passes, this homeless man—who had lost his memory due to alcohol addiction—transforms into a source of inspiration and support for others. Through his positive energy and charming spontaneity, he helps resolve the customers' problems and offers them guidance... until he eventually regains his memory and decides to leave the store to rectify the mistakes he had made earlier in his life.
