« in the Arabic by Syrian playwriter Saadallah Wannus (1941-1997)(Wannous). The prominent playwright Saadallah Wannus put the final touches on this play two months before his death in 1997. Wannus believed in theater as a true sign of the existence of a civil society, and a symbol of the birth of dialogue in society. He also insisted throughout his life on the importance of the struggle to strengthen culture and confirm its role in life, as culture is the one that always raises the radical and fundamental questions regarding the fate of societies.
