The Leader and the Judge: Letters Exchanged Between Nazirah Jumblatt and Jamal al-Shahhal. Letters between Judge Shahhal (1880-1968), known for integrity and defense of the oppressed, and Nazirah Jumblatt (1890-1951), a Druze leader of the Jumblatt clan after the assassination of her husband Fouad in 1921 until her son Kamal took the reins. The book provides insight of both the Chouf District and the national level.
