"Sharh al-Wasit" (The Intermediate Commentary) by Dr. Nuri al-Masallati is a dedicated academic effort to simplify Imam al-Suyuti’s Alfiyya in Hadith science—a famous 1,000-line poem that summarizes Hadith methodology with unique additions to Ibn al-Salah’s foundational work. This commentary is designed to strike a balance between over-simplification and excessive elaboration, aiming to "decode" the Alfiyya’s concise verses and clarify its objectives in a modern, accessible scholarly style.
