< I Saw Ramallah> is the memoir of returning after 30 years of exile by acclaimed author, poet and activist Murid Barghouti (1944-2021). The work tells of the journey of Palestine's suffering through a wonderful, poetic narrative style that embodied his tortured and beautiful human honesty.
Reviews:
Edward Said told, the book was «one of the finest existential accounts of Palestinian displacement that we now have». The Guardian review said that the novel «is an intensely lyrical account of the poet's return to his hometown.»
