Translated to Arabic, 'Les penseurs libres dans l'Islam classique' (Independent Thinkers in Classical Islam). Author Dominique Urvoy discusses several thinkers of the medieval Islamic world, including Ibn al-Muqaffa', al-Warraq, Ibn al-Rawandi, al-Razi, al-Ma'arri...in order to show the intellectual and independent thought that led to a 'critical approach within the religious domain' - an approach that is forgotten by many given current world events.
