«This is not a biography», writings and musings by Lebanese political journalist Hazim Saghiyah. Written in his distinctive and interesting language, this work is closer to a literary text rather than autobiographical or political articles. The author writes about his political life through vivid images covering 30 years of life in Lebanon. Many issues are covered, such as his grandmother being more attached to her Arabism than her Christianity; his attachments to intellectual doctrines: nationalism, Nasserite and Marxist Baathism; and the narration ends with writings on the painful Lebanese civil war of the 1980s. Well worth reading.
