On the early Arabic poetry of the wise pre-Islamic poet, Umayyah ibn Abd Allah al-Salt Auf al-Thaqafi (d. 626 AD). With editing and commentary of Dr. Rabi Jamil al-Jibali.
Umayyah ibn Abi al-Salt al-Thaqafi, also known as Abu al-Hakam, was a pre -Islamic poet and one of the leaders of Thaqif . He was famous for his belief in monotheism and theology, and was one of the advocates of rejecting idols and believing in the oneness of God. He was also one of the poets and nobles of Thaqif , just as his father before him was one of the leaders of Thaqif in Taif .
