'Beautiful Times', stories by acclaimed Lebanese author Emily Nasrallah. This book takes us back to the hopes of Nasrallah in Lebanon in the 1950s. With her warm style and tenderness, and rich text, the reader goes on a tour of Nasrallah's world without feeling alienated. The writer, as a journalist at the time, gives us the experience of her 'beautiful time', reminding us of names we forgot and introducing us to others. Illustrated by Jean Machaalani, who accompanied Nasrallah in the absence of photographers in that period.
