This publication spans the 50-year career of Maliheh Afnan-one of the most important contemporary artists from the Middle East. Afnan was born in Palestine to Persian parents and has lived and worked in Lebanon, Kuwait, Washington DC, Paris and London. Her themes of displacement and exile are rendered in a spare, discreet style that has earned Afnan an international following.
