'The clash of the caliphates & the protections on the past & present Muslim lands', a sociological research by Khalil Ahmad Khalil. The study goes into 20th century changes in political structures which 'shot down' Islamic identities, moved the centers of power, and changed rhythms established from the time of the royal dynasties. Directives from Western nations created the divisions in Palestine, the French model of sectarianism in Lebanon, and such.
