Taha Hussein: Hadith al-Arbi'ah (3 vol.)طه حسين: حديث الاربعاء

«Wednesday Conversations», the three volume literary work of the great Egyptian writer and thinker Taha Hussein (1889-1973).
He discusses issues of Arabic literature, both ancient and modern, in a critical and analytical style that combines academic depth with linguistic fluency, in a interesting manner as if he is talking to you personally, telling about the Arab poets. Taha Hussein did not expect this work to become a reference book in Arabic literature in all its dimensions, but it has become one.

In this book, Taha Hussein presents studies of prominent literary figures, such as al-Jahiz...an all together interesting and exciting work.
