"Saif bin A'ta" is a fictionalized name or "alter ego" that the author, Faisal Akram, uses to tell his own life story. The name itself is borrowed from one of his earlier poems. By using this name, he creates a literary distance that allows him to explore his personal history with a blend of poetic and narrative styles.
