A work on the science of hadith, by Jamal al-Din al-Qasimi (Syria, 1866-1914). Qasimi was a leading Islamic modernist. He argued the Muslims should overcome historical divisions in law and sects, and instead return to the Qur'an and Hadith and Sunnah as the basis of authority. Research and editing of Rashid Rida.
