Selections from the thought of Ibn al-Rawandi, by Aziz al-Azmah. Ibn al-Rawandi (827-911 CE) first followed the Mu'tazilite doctrine, then briefly the Shia', then became a skeptic of Islam and of religion in general. His opinions have survived primarily through writings in repudiation of his thought by Muslim apologists.
