Translated to Arabic, « 鍵 Kagi » (The Key, 1956), a novel by Japanese author Jun'ichiro Tanizaki (1886-1965). The story is told as two diarys. switching between the the diary entries of a 55 year-old university professor and of his wife who is 10 years younger. Both claim they want their diary entries kept secret, where she complains about his inability to satisfy her, and he complains about his insatiability because because of her old-fashioned rejection of his erotic desires which he claims would satisfy her.
