Mabahij al-Falsafaول ديورانت: مباهج الفلسفة

Translated to Arabic, «Pleasures of Philosophy: an attempt at a consistent philosophy of life» first published in 1929 by the American writer, historian and philosopher, Will Durant ( 1885-1981).

This book is an attempt to establish a coherent philosophy of life. It seeks to do with the problems of philosophy what the book «The Story of Philosophy» attempted to do with the personalities and doctrines of most philosophers: to bring them closer to understanding through pure expression, and to transfer them to life through modern application. We will omit from this book the stories of geniuses and their famous sayings, which have lightened my burden of this book, and perhaps we will receive a good reward when we draw closer to the concerns of our own lives in these days: for the subject that concerns us here is ourselves.
