In a 7 volume set, the clear and meaningtul Qur'an exegesis of Makki Ibn Abi Talib al-Qaysi, (d.437/1045) a great scholar from Qayrawan, Tunisia who traveled to Egypt, Arabia, and Andalusia, where he studied with the greatest scholars of his time. He collected a bounty of knowledge in Qur'anic sciences and Tafsir, which he accumulated, summarized and selected the best to include in his tafsir.
He aims to explain Qur'anic readings, to clarify the stories and words, explain the meanings and relevance, explain the abrograted and abrogated, and provide reasons for verse revelations. As was his Shaykh, al-Qayrawani, he was Salifi in Aqeeda and Maliki in Madhhab.
