Someone Else. Guillaume Musso's Quelqu'un d'autre is one of his most gripping and suspenseful novels. It opens with a captivating cinematic scene: the renowned Italian heiress Oriana Di Pietro reclines on the deck of the Luna Bleu yacht, basking in the sun. After months of despair and a sense of impending doom, things are finally turning in her favor, promising a brighter tomorrow. But this moment of tranquility is short-lived, as the scene abruptly transforms into a nightmare. Within minutes, Oriana is brutally attacked, resulting in her mysterious death. Thus begins a complex investigation led by Detective Justine, who faces personal and professional challenges in her quest to uncover the killer amidst a web of intertwined and misleading narratives. Who murdered Oriana Di Pietro? Was it her husband, Adrian, the enigmatic and charismatic pianist? Or was it Adèle, her friend at first, then later her enemy? Both claim to be telling the truth, but their versions bear no relation to reality.
