Diwan al-Insha'ديوان الانشاء

By Egyptian scholar, educator and linguist, Sayyid Ahmad al-Hashimi (1295/1878 - 1361/1943) a Collection of Arabic wisdom from the centuries of Arab / Muslim literary history, this collection includes topics ranging from contentment, to financial satisfaction friendship, success and more.

The work contains a large collection of various articles aimed at education and guidance. Al-Hashemi started it with a short introduction in which he mentioned his purpose of the book, which is to collect what he would teach, especially in the science of rhetoric and construction, and appended it to a list of his articles that… which are close to three hundred and which aim at one goal, which is to teach the believer how to deal with his Lord and with himself and with his community, urging him to adhere to his religion, language and great heritage, and to adopt from the western civilization in accordance with the eastern customs and traditions that were imbued with the spirit of the heavenly religions.

In his articles, Al-Hashemi follows the method of educational rhetoric, which is manifested by his definition of the title of the article, and then by his explanation of the benefit, and the support of his opinion with Quranic verses, honorable hadiths, poetic evidence, wisdom and proverbs, and what came on the lips of famous people whose high virtues have been written in history. It is also noted that his Azhari style is inspired by the great Qur'anic style.
