'The Hostage State', by Dr. Fawzi Zeidan, with Introduction by Fu'ad Siniora. The author discusses decisive and fateful events in Lebanon's recent political history. Such events have led to the diminishing role and prestige of the state, making it a 'hostage' to de-facto powers. But Dr. Zeidan believes there is still a 'flame of hope' in the reviving of Lebanon and the silent majority within.
