The history of the al-Wafd Party is a dear and precious part of Egypt's history. It is, without exaggeration, the history of the struggle of the modern Egyptian people for independence from the foreign occupier, for the sovereignty of the nation, for national unity, and for the rights and well-being of the Egyptian human being.
