'Sonata for the Ghosts of Jersusalem' a novel by Algerian writer Wasini al-A'raj (1954-). The significance of the title of the novel, the 'Sonata' is a piece of music chosen to play that weaves through the story, dealing with the problem of the diaspora to return to the territory of 1948, through the memory of a Palestinian visual artist who is compelled to migrate to America and is driven by nostalgia for a return to his homeland.
