«The Poet and the King», a novel by award winning Palestinian-Jordanian writer and poet Walid Saif (b.1948). The story was inspired by the life of the 6th century CE pre-Islamic poet Tarafa bin al-Abd al-Bakri, and his tormented soul between free will and the will of the group.
