The History of the Siege of Lisbon Translated to Arabic, 'História do Cerco de Lisboa' (1989, The History of the Siege of Lisbon) by Portuguese writer and Nobel Prize in Literature recipient José Saramago (1922-2010). The multilayered novel deals with the uncertainty of historical events and includes the story of a middle-aged isolated proofreader who falls in love with his boss.
