The Endings is a quintessential Bedouin novel, the testimony of a Bedouin who knows the desert, the seasons, fertility, rain, drought, animals, plants, and birds. He smells the clouds and recognizes the omens of storms. He lives with the people of his village, always the same village on the edge of the desert, embodying it's cultural patterns and purest values.
