Prose of Abu al-Fadl Badi al-Zaman al-Hamadhani. This famous classic by Hamadhani (ca. 358/969 - 395/1007) is written largely in rhymed prose. Hamadhani was a traveling scholar, and his Maqamat is a series of unrelated tales...Each tale presents a view of medieval Islamic countries, involving a wide range of characters and situations. Research and editing of Samir Shams.
