Translated to the Arabic 'Les Croisades vues par les Arabes' (The Crusades Through Arab Eyes, 1983), An historical essay by the French-Lebanese writer Amin Maalouf. The book uses primary sources from various Arab chronicles to provide the Arab perspective on the Crusades. The Arabs considered the Christian crusaders barbarians without honor...in fact the opposite of what the Western world is taught - and the negative effects of the Crusaders invasion into Arab lands can still be felt in the Arab world of today.
