A novella in the Arabic language by Moroccan writer Tahar Ben Jelloun, translated from the French 'L'ablation' . Based on a true story of a friend of the author who had cancer of the prostrate resulting in removal - the work is written as a reflection on life, illness and pain with short and direct sentences to better describe the pain. The work holds nothing back.
