Translated to Arabic, «Die Taube» (The Pigeon), a novella by German writer Patrick Süskind (b. 1949). It tells the story of a recluse security guard who faces an existential crisis when a pigeon roosts in front of his one-room apartment's door, prohibiting him entrance to his private sanctuary.
