Din Essentials Part 1

This is a response to the pressing need for practical and simple, yet comprehensive and integrated, authentic children’s Islamic primers in the English language. 'Dīn Essentials: Part 1' encompasses the fundamentals of `aqīdah (creed), the basic fiqh (practical understanding) of worship, manners, supplications, and Muslim character; along with some ahādīth (Prophetic sayings) and virtues included for inspiration and encouragement. Despite its elementary presentation, the material is relevant to emergent students and new Muslims of all ages. The fiqh component conforms to the Hanafiyy legal school—one of the four acceptable schools which comprise the mainstream Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamā`ah (those who ardently adhere to the way of the Prophet ﷺ, as expounded by his noble companions). This compilation features colored, illustrated presentation; clear, user-friendly organization; simple language and first-person address; straightforward translations; easy-to-read transliteration; as well as verified wordings and sound references.
